Virginia Tactical Long Range Precision Rifle Training
Prerequisites/Minimum Qualifications and Preparation
Equipment
and qualifications vary depending upon the precision
long range rifle program selected. General equipment
requirements are listed below, with more comprehensive
pre-requisite and necessary equipment lists included
for each individual training program offered.
We recommend that you review qualifications and equipment
lists per individual training programs.
Minimum Equipment Requirements; All training programs:
- Bolt-action rifle; .308, 30-06, 338
- Equipped with a minimum 10x magnification scope with ranging reticle, ready to shoot
- Bipod or sandbags
- Correct ammunition for the rifle, in sufficient quantity for the selected program or clinic (100 to 200 rounds, 168 gr. BTHP for 600 yards and under, 175 gr. BTHP for 1800 yards and under)
- Spotting scope (optional)
- Field glasses
- Shooting mat (optional)
- Data book, calculator, pencils, compass
- Rifle cleaning equipment including bore rods, patches, brushes and cleaning chemicals
- Snap caps (5)
As
long as the temperature is above 40 degrees Fahrenheit,
we will shoot.
